What is Tofu?
First of all, if you are visiting my website for the first time or if you want to learn more about the vegan lifestyle and you are in a transitioning stage, you should definitely learn what tofu is. Tofu is something like a “treasure” I would say for all vegans, since it is a raw material for a lot of dishes. And when I say a lot, I mean it! It is ideal for breakfast, lunch, dinner and even for dessert! More specifically, however, we must mention that tofu is a soy product. It is made from soy milk and is quite popular in Far East countries, where people tend to follow a vegan lifestyle. Tofu is an ideal source of protein and omega-3 fats, while it is low in cholesterol and low in carbohydrates. In short, it’s the ideal ingredient that should not be missing from our diet!
Is Vegan Scrambled Eggs possible?
Of course it’s possible and you don’t have to worry, because the scramble tofu is as delicious as the eggs, but much healthier! When I was little, my mom used to make such dishes quite often, such as scrambled eggs, but also kayanas – also known as strapatsada -, which we will definitely see later in another recipe. So, wanting to “relive” this memory and of course having enough tofu in my fridge (as I mentioned above, tofu is an ideal raw material, so I make sure that I always have some in my fridge), I decided to make the most delicious breakfast of all time! Shall we go and check the recipe?
