Welcome to my kitchen! My name is Helen and together we are going to cook wonderful, vegan recipes for everyone! Also, you will definitely be ready for every daily or formal occasion!

What do I do in my life?

I was born and raised in Thessaloniki. At 18, I moved to the city of Ioannina to study in Philosophy’s Department of History and Archeology. However, after my return to Thessaloniki, I discovered that what I wanted to do was cooking, specifically cooking vegan! And so it happened… Social Media at first -and later my website- became the space that allowed me to share this love of cooking. However, I didn’t stop there; I still had many dreams. So, I decided to move to Paris, and today I work as a vegan chef in an exclusively vegan restaurant in the heart of Paris.

Why Vegan?

In 2018 I made the decision to switch to a vegetarian -and later vegan- lifestyle, when I started getting rid of the illusion that I was loving animals, because I was taking advantage of them directly or indirectly. While I was searching online, I discovered some documentaries, like “Dominion” and “Earthlings” and voilà! I discovered a whole new world! Alongside, I was informed about environmental issues and their tragic impact that humans cause with their acts. Finally, while I was learning and analyzing the ingredients of the food that I used to eat, I realized the bad results that this lifestyle has.

Me and Cooking…

Regarding cooking, it has always been a part of my life! Kitchen is the place that makes me feel calm, enthusiastic and creative! From a young age I remember mixing myself with the smells of the kitchen and trying to integrate into the space. Over the years and as I left for my studies, this appetite for cooking returned and never left! However, I can strongly tell that veganism showed me a new path to discover and offered me new options and ideas!
