Some info about me
I was born and raised in Thessaloniki (Greece). At 18, I started my studies at the Philosophy’s Department of History and Archeology of the University f Ioannina. Being involved in my field of studies is definitely something I’m very interested in, however, I’ve gradually discovered that my real passion is cooking! And so it happened… Social Media at first -and later my website- became the space that allowed me to share this love of cooking. However, I didn’t stop there; I still had many dreams. So, I decided to move to Paris, and today I work as a chef in a restaurant in the heart of Paris.
Me and cooking
Regarding cooking, it has always been a part of my life. Kitchen is the place that makes me feel calm, enthusiastic and creative! From a young age I remember mixing myself with the smells of the kitchen and trying to integrate into the space. Over the years and as I left for my studies, this appetite for cooking returned and never left! Every new restaurant or small tavern that is on my way, every small or big market of traditional products and every person I meet give me new ideas and even more love for what I call cooking.
My love for traveling
Apart from cooking, my great love is also traveling. I like, whenever I have a bit os spare time, to travel to near or far destinations, to get to know new places, new images, new cultures and civilizations. My interest in the history of these places, the museums, the language of each people and their way of thinking is the focus of my travels. At the same time, through these excursions, I have the opportunity to get to know new products and aromas, try new cuisines and dine in a variety of different restaurants.
Eating out
The variety of restaurants that exist give me the opportunity to try new dishes and get to know new flavors, which gives me ideas for creating new recipes. Every time I have the opportunity to eat out, I choose different dishes, and through them I have the opportunity to get to know the chefs and cooks, since their ideas and love for cooking are permeated in the plate in front of me. This is what excites me even more! Of course, I have some favorite spots, though, that I love and know that I will always leave the place being satisfied.
