Mushroom Gyros: The “junk” pleasure!
This recipe became the quick and delicious so-called “pitogiro” and it comes straight out of my heart. After all, the heart “borders” the stomach… I tried many combinations of spices and finally came to this one. Of course, I also got extra opinions from those who tried it, which were very positive and everyone was excited. If you are also looking fora meal that will give you pleasure, you must prepare this gyros!
Delicious Mushroom Gyros
Ingredients
- 1 k pleurotus mushrooms
- 5 tbsp. olive oil
- 1 tbsp. garlic powder
- 1 tbsp. smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp. oregano
- 1 tbsp. mustard
- 1 tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. curry
- 1/2 lime juice
- 1 pinch of freshly ground pepper
- thyme (optionally)
Instructions
- Chop finely the mushrooms.
- Add a tablespoon of olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, curry, mustard, pepper, soy sauce and lime juice and mix well.
- Leave them marinated for half hour before cooking.
- Put 4 tablespoons of olive oil in a pan. Once warm, add the round and fry for 20 minutes in low fire.
- Once it is ready, add the oregano and mix.
- Prepare the sandwiches and enjoy!
